This page explains what the fredmorin.dev website collects during your visit and through its contact form, and what it doesn't.
Person responsible for the protection of personal information
Website analytics
- We use Plausible Analytics, hosted on our own server, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Neither places a cookie on your device.
- Plausible doesn't store your IP address: it's used briefly to count the day's unique visitors, then discarded.
- No data is sold or used for advertising.
Since no cookies are used and no personal information is collected, this analytics measurement doesn't require your prior consent.
Local preferences
Your theme choice (light or dark) is kept in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Contact form
If you fill out the contact form, we receive your name, your email, your phone number (optional), the example you're interested in, your project's stage and your message. This information is used only to respond to your request. It's saved in the website's database and sent to us by email, to our Fastmail mailbox.
Service providers and hosting outside Quebec
- Cloudflare (United States): every request to the website goes through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver and protect the site and to produce the cookieless statistics above.
- DigitalOcean (United States): hosts the website and its database, including contact-form messages, on servers in Toronto, Ontario, as well as the relay to our analytics server.
- Fastmail (Australia, data hosted in the United States): emails us the contact-form messages and hosts the mailbox where we receive them.
Retention
Contact-form messages are kept for 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. Website analytics are kept in aggregate form only.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or withdraw your consent, by writing to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec: www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.
