Dynamics 365 CE, Field Service, Power Platform and Business Central

Dynamics 365 development: CRM, Field Service and the systems around them

I customize Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Field Service, and connect them to the rest of the business: older systems, Business Central, Azure. One senior developer, on contract, in French or English. I work remotely and come on site when needed.

Availability: taking on a new mandate now, from a few hours a week to full time. Eastern time.

What I do

  • C# plugins and customization: business logic that runs on Dataverse events, in Sales (CRM) and in Field Service.
  • Automation: recurring work the system creates by itself: for example, phone call activities generated every month with nobody entering them.
  • Data migration and sync: bridges from an older system to Dynamics 365 that keep customers, calls and opportunities in sync.
  • Power Platform: Power Pages portals, Dataverse, Power Automate.
  • Business Central next to CE: BC data in Dataverse through virtual tables, Field Service billing synced to BC, integrations through APIs and Azure Functions.

Recent work

  • CRM and Field Service customizations: C# plugins in the CRM and in Field Service on a recent contract, including monthly phone call activities created automatically.
  • CRM bridge: customers, calls and opportunities synced from the former system into Dynamics 365.
  • Field Service and Business Central: plugins for service calls and visits, with billing synced to Business Central (at a Microsoft Dynamics partner).
  • Customer portal with Power Pages: customers see their own orders and invoices live from BC. Read the post
  • Business Central data in Dataverse: virtual tables and their parent scope. Read the post
  • Sync through Azure Functions: Business Central kept up to date with other systems through Azure Functions. Read the post

Track record

  • Recent contract: Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Field Service customization, plus a data bridge from the old system.
  • Four years as a senior programmer at a Microsoft Dynamics partner, including Field Service plugins with billing synced to BC.
  • NAV and Business Central since 2009, and contract mandates for partners since 2014.
  • Business degree (BAA, HEC Montréal). Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals. MCSA: SQL 2016 BI Development.

For Dynamics 365 teams and recruiters

I join Customer Engagement and Field Service projects as a developer, especially where Dynamics 365 has to talk to Business Central or another system. On contract, or for a longer engagement.
